![]() Mark (NA6M) and Renee' (N5RNA) will be operating HF from the Carnival Victory in stateroom 8433, an aft wrap balcony. The Victory is registered to Panama. We both have ARRL IARP operating permits which allow us to sign /HP0 from the ship while in international waters. We also have Bahamian licenses for operation in the Bahamas. I am C6AMS and Renee' is C6AMR. Equipment includes an Icom IC-7000, Hi-Q 5/80 Screwdriver Antenna, Sennheiser HMD280 Headsets, Wheatstone Vorsis M1 Digital Mic processors, K1EL keyer and a Signalink USB audio interface for digital modes. Because this is a shared event, we will post our operating schedule once we get on board. Side bar: The Bahamas hold a special place in my heart. When I was 13, I obtained my Novice license and at the time I lived on a sail boat with my parents and brother. During this time I operated 40 meters CW in the Bahamas, Panama and the high seas with a 1 watt Ten Tec PM-1 Direct Conversion transceiver. I held KZ5CC in the Canal Zone in 1976.
