There are 18 hams  in our group. While I am not certain how many folks will be bringing radios, I am aware
of at least 4 others besides myself. Two of these stations will be set up in public areas of the ship in the aft section of Deck 9.

We expect these public stations to be active during the day on higher bands. A list of steady operators will be posted once we
sort it out.

We leave for Norfolk, VA at 0920 Sunday, 12 Oct 08. The radios take up 2 hard cases, one of them will exceed the 50 pound
limit on Southwest Airlines, $25  heavy bag fee please.

Schedule
No, I will not be discussing how to pass on banks. An unfortunate typo during this financial
situation just the same. I will however, be talking about homebrew HF bandpass filters,
many of which I have constructed for this expedition. With  4 to 8 HF stations operating in
close proximity on the ship, this could literally be a floating field day, including the associated
receiver front end overload issues. Stay tuned for photos of my 3 pole Butterworth filters, using hand
wound toroids and surplus fixed capacitors.
